WHITE ROCK, B.C. — The City of White Rock has announced that its Council will consider waiving a public hearing for a proposed zoning bylaw amendment that addresses off-street parking regulations.
The amendment, identified as White Rock Zoning Bylaw, 2024, No. 2506, Amendment No. 10, 2025, No. 2548, focuses on changes to parking requirements for Small Scale Multi-Unit Housing (SSMUH). It also introduces a new rule to clarify how fractional parking stalls are calculated, requiring that they be rounded up to the nearest whole stall.
City staff note that the waiver is being considered under sections 464(2) and 467 of the Local Government Act. If approved, Council will move directly to the bylaw readings without holding a formal public hearing.
Council is scheduled to review the bylaw and give it first, second, and third readings during its Regular Council Meeting on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the White Rock Community Centre.
Residents may view copies of the proposed bylaw at White Rock City Hall, 15322 Buena Vista Avenue, from September 2 to 15, 2025, during regular business hours.
