Surrey, BC – October 30, 2025 – Two men are in custody following an overnight shooting that caused damage to a Surrey residence early this morning.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers responded to reports of possible shots fired at a home near 56 Avenue and King George Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that gunfire had struck the exterior of the residence. Several people were inside the home at the time, but fortunately, no one was injured.

A short time later, SPS Frontline officers located a suspect vehicle nearby and arrested two men. Both were transported to SPS cells as the investigation continues.

The SPS Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team attended the scene and is assisting with the case. Based on early findings, investigators believe the shooting is extortion-related and may be connected to other similar incidents in the region.

SPS investigators are working closely with law enforcement partners, and the BC Extortion Task Force has now taken over the investigation.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who was in the area of 56 Avenue and King George Boulevard around the time of the incident and may have witnessed suspicious activity or has CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502, quoting file number 25-95384 (SP)
