Surrey, B.C. – Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a serious two-vehicle collision that sent three people to hospital early Sunday morning, two of them with life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened at around 12:56 a.m. on September 28, 2025, near 128 Street and 65 Avenue. Police say one of the vehicles flipped and caught fire, trapping two occupants inside.
SPS frontline officers, Surrey Fire Service, and BC Emergency Health Services responded to the scene. Fire crews extinguished the flames and pulled the two people from the burning vehicle. Both were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was also transported to hospital and is in serious but stable condition.
The SPS Road Safety Section’s Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) is leading the investigation with assistance from the Lower Mainland District’s Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).
Early evidence suggests the northbound vehicle carrying two occupants crossed into oncoming traffic near 64 Avenue and collided with a southbound vehicle. Investigators believe speed may have been a contributing factor.
SPS is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has dash cam or CCTV footage to contact investigators at 604-599-0502, quoting file 25-84954 (SP).
