
Delta, B.C. – Delta Police are investigating a targeted shooting that left a 17-year-old youth seriously injured Friday evening in Tsawwassen.
At approximately 8:19 p.m. on September 19, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 900 block of English Bluff Road, near Fred Gingell Park. The teen, who is not from Delta, was part of a group of high school students visiting from another Lower Mainland community on a party bus outing.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries and is now in stable condition. Investigators believe the attack was targeted.
Witnesses reported seeing a newer model silver or grey Toyota Camry fleeing the area immediately after the shooting.
Delta Police will be conducting door-to-door canvassing in the neighbourhood and are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of a silver or grey Toyota Camry in the area around the time of the incident is urged to contact DPD at 604-946-4444 or email tips@deltapolice.ca.
