Surrey- In response to concerns over dangerous driving behaviours, the Surrey RCMP South Community Response Unit (CRU) has launched a targeted enforcement operation in the Strawberry Hill area. Beginning in early September, officers have conducted over 150 traffic stops aimed at enhancing road safety for both drivers and pedestrians in this busy shopping complex.
During the operation, the following enforcement actions were taken:
– 56 violation tickets issued
– 7 vehicles impounded
– 3 prohibited drivers charged
– 2 Immediate Roadside Prohibition orders issued
– 1 drug investigation
– 3 files for street racing and stunting
“Our aim is to target the dangerous driving behaviors in the Strawberry Hill area. The goal of this enforcement is to educate and enhance road safety for the drivers and pedestrians of the shopping complex,” stated Sergeant Robert Keay of the South Community Response Unit.
