Surrey, BC – Surrey is vying to become the home of a new museum honouring the contributions of Canadians of South Asian heritage. The Province of B.C. says the landmark will preserve stories, celebrate history, and connect communities for generations.
With one of the largest South Asian populations in Canada, Surrey leaders say the city is the perfect fit — but public support is key.
Residents are urged to sign the petition by August 30, 2025, to help secure the museum’s location in Surrey.
“This is our chance to keep our stories in the heart of our community,” says the City of Surrey.
