Surrey- The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is expanding its presence in Surrey and strengthening its frontline as it continues to take over more policing operations. To support this growth, SPS is now offering a signing bonus of up to $25,000 for experienced Frontline Constables.
A limited number of experienced police officers who apply with SPS as exempt candidates and are hired as Frontline Constables will be eligible for this signing bonus. The bonus is designed to help compensate officers for the costs involved in switching police agencies, such as lost leave banks or repayment of training expenses.
Experienced officers hired from police agencies outside of the Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit will be eligible for a $20,000 signing bonus. Those currently working in Surrey policing, specifically within the Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit, and who wish to remain in Surrey, will be eligible for a $25,000 signing bonus.
In addition to the signing bonus, SPS is offering up to $10,000 in relocation assistance for experienced officers who do not currently reside in the Lower Mainland.
