Surrey, B.C. – Surrey Police Service (SPS) has arrested and charged a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault that occurred on August 5, 2025, and is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident took place at approximately 12:15 p.m. outside the Tim Horton’s at 8080 120 Street and the Salvation Army Thrift Store at 8066 120 Street in Surrey.
SPS’s Special Investigation Unit is leading the case. Police are seeking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, to assist in the investigation.
Abdulkarim Ahmad Alhamid, 58, has been charged with one count of sexual assault by the BC Prosecution Service and remains in custody.
