Surrey, BC –Surrey Police Service (SPS) and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (RCMP SPOSU) are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting that took place on December 29, 2024, in Surrey. The incident left two men injured.

According to police, the shooting occurred outside a pub in the 8500 block of 132 Street after a large fight broke out. Frontline officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting an altercation that escalated to gunfire.

Initially, police released information describing two suspects who fled the scene in a dark-coloured sedan. However, as the investigation has progressed, officers now believe there is only one suspect involved. The Serious Crime Unit of the RCMP SPOSU has been leading the ongoing investigation.

The suspect is described as a South Asian male, possibly in his 20s, with black hair shaved on the sides, a moustache, and a beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black or dark-coloured jacket and shirt.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to come forward. Those with details are asked to contact Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and reference file 2024-9249 (SP).
