Surrey, B.C. – August 6, 2025 – Surrey Police Service (SPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Amena Hand, who has been missing since July 19.

Amena was last seen at approximately 6:15 p.m. in the 10100 block of King George Boulevard, in Surrey’s Whalley/City Centre area. She has not been seen or heard from since, and both police and her family are growing increasingly concerned for her well-being.

Amena Hand is described as an Indigenous female, approximately 5’8” tall, weighing 150 lbs, with short red hair and brown eyes.

While it is not unusual for Amena to go in and out of contact with family, caregivers, and community supports, this extended absence is out of character, police say.

She is known to frequent the Whalley and City Centre areas, and police are urging anyone who has seen her or may have information about her whereabouts to come forward.

“We are concerned for Amena’s safety and want to ensure she is safe and receives any support she may need,” said an SPS spokesperson.

If you have information about Amena Hand’s location, you are asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and reference SPS File #2025-60494 (SP)
