Surrey, B.C. – Get ready to take the plunge for a purpose! The 2025 Surrey Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC is back on March 1, inviting the community to brave the icy waters in support of athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Hosted by the Community 1st Unit of the Surrey Police Service, this annual fundraiser challenges participants to dive into freezing water to raise vital funds for Special Olympics BC’s year-round sport, youth, and health programs.
“Participating in the Polar Plunge is not just about taking a dip in the cold—it’s about celebrating inclusion, raising awareness, and supporting athletes in achieving their dreams,” organizers said.
The event welcomes individuals, teams, and organizations to take part in the Plunge for SOBC movement. Participants will join brave and creative plungers from across the province who are committed to empowering Special Olympics BC athletes with purpose, friendships, and fitness.
