Surrey, BC – The Surrey RCMP Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) is actively searching for two twelve-year-old girls who failed to arrive at school this morning and are currently unaccounted for.
The principal of a school in the Fraser Heights neighbourhood alerted authorities when the two students, Alicia Merck and Olivia Moon, did not show up as expected. The girls were believed to be walking to school together.
Alicia Merck was last seen wearing a red cropped hoodie and a red shirt. Olivia Moon is described as wearing a blue top and a white dress. Police believe the girls are in each other’s company.
Surrey RCMP, with the support of the girls’ families, have been conducting an ongoing search. Area businesses and the girls’ homes have been checked, but there is still no sign of their whereabouts.
Anyone with information on the location of Alicia Merck and Olivia Moon is urged to contact the Surrey Police Service’s non-emergency line at 604-599-0502.
