Surrey, BC – Surrey residents are invited to recycle their Christmas trees while supporting a great cause at a community tree chipping fundraiser organized by the Surrey Firefighters Charitable Society. The event will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Guildford Town Centre parking lot, located at 105 Avenue and 150 Street.
Community members can bring their natural Christmas trees for chipping, with participation offered by donation. All proceeds from the event will directly support local community programs run by the Surrey Firefighters Charitable Society.
Funds raised will help sustain important initiatives such as the nutritional snack program, which provides healthy snacks to more than 7,500 children annually across 130 schools in Surrey. Organizers encourage residents to take part, dispose of their trees responsibly, and contribute to programs that make a meaningful difference in the community.
