Squamish, B.C. – Squamish Canyon is set to welcome visitors into a world of festive magic as it opens its Enchanted Forest for the 2025-26 winter season. With a charming woodland theme, sparkling displays, and interactive family-friendly activities, the canyon is transforming into a holiday wonderland. Children ages 12 and under will receive free admission from December 13, 2025, to January 4, 2026, making it an ideal winter outing for families.
Guests can explore the forest’s twinkling pathways, encounter whimsical “woodland friends,” and take part in a variety of seasonal experiences. Families can join the Forest Friends Holiday Hunt by picking up a play pack at check-in and embarking on a self-guided search for hidden characters throughout the Enchanted Forest. Every Sunday, visitors can settle into the Forest Lounge for Canyon Host Story Time, while Movies on the Boardwalk will feature holiday favourites along the scenic outdoor boardwalk.
Visitors can also get hands-on during Gingerbread Cookie Decorating, where freshly baked cookies are ready for creative decorating fun. Those looking for a festive photo moment can meet the canyon’s jolliest bear during Selfies with Santa Paws. To close out the season, Squamish Canyon will host a Noon-Years Eve Party on December 31, offering music, decorations, games, and a cheerful countdown to noon—a perfect family-friendly way to ring in the new year.
“Creating moments of wonder is at the heart of what we do at Squamish Canyon,” said Nicky Walker, Guest Experience Manager. “The holidays are the perfect time to bring that to life. The Enchanted Forest gives families a chance to slow down, explore together, and enjoy a bit of magic in the canyon.”
Squamish Canyon is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with last entry at 3 p.m. For a limited time, well-behaved pups are also welcome each afternoon at Doggy Happy Hour, held at 2 p.m. on the boardwalk. For more information on hours, tickets, and holiday programming, visit Squamishcanyon.com
