SPS Investigating sexual assault incident

Surrey,BC- Surrey Police Service (SPS) is appealing for witnesses to come forward regarding an alleged sexual assault of a woman that occurred in the early morning hours of August 26, 2025, in the 9800 block of King George Boulevard, Surrey.

On August 26, 2025, at approximately 3:10 am, a female victim was walking toward the bus stop in the 9800 block of King George Boulevard, Surrey. As the victim was walking along the sidewalk, she was approached by a man who asked to use her phone. When the victim refused, the suspect pushed her into a nearby bush and then allegedly sexually assaulted her. The victim, who suffered minor injuries, fought off the suspect and he fled northbound.

SPS’s Special Investigation Section (SIS) was contacted and is taking conduct of the investigation.

The suspect is described as tall and skinny South Asian male with black hair and wearing a black t-shirt, maroon shorts, and black and white shoes.

Investigators are releasing three images of the suspect in hopes that he may be identified.
