Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh: A vacation for a Spanish-Punjabi couple in Dalhousie turned violent when an argument over parking escalated into a brutal attack by locals. The couple, who were reportedly involved in a heated altercation, allege that they were badly beaten by a group of locals. The man suffered head injuries and a broken arm in the incident, while his Spanish wife faced misbehavior from the assailants.
The couple also claimed that the attackers deleted the videos they had recorded of the incident. Contradicting the couple’s account, SP Chamba, Abhishek Yadav stated that the conflict arose during a hand reading session with the locals. Yadav added that when the couple was brought to the police station, they refused to file a complaint or undergo a medical examination, providing a statement to that effect.
In response to the incident, Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal visited the injured couple in the hospital. Dhaliwal announced that a Zero FIR has been ordered against the attackers and pledged to bring the issue to the attention of the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, demanding strict action against those responsible.
The situation remains tense as authorities investigate the conflicting accounts of the incident, with calls for justice growing louder.
