Surrey, B.C. – The Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating two alarming incidents that occurred within 24 hours at the same business in an industrial area of North Surrey.

In the most recent incident, on Wednesday, June 19 at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers were called to a business located in the 12800 block of 116 Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, SPS members discovered multiple bullet casings along with visible damage to buildings and vehicles. Despite employees being present at the time of the shooting, no injuries were reported.

This shooting occurred less than a day after another troubling event at the same location. On Tuesday, June 18 at around 3:50 a.m., suspects reportedly attempted to damage vehicles using gasoline. However, they were scared off by on-site security before further harm could be done. SPS officers responded to that scene as well and collected evidence.

The SPS Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) has taken over both cases, which are being treated as potentially related. Investigators are still exploring motives and possible links to other incidents in the area.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be provided by calling the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and referencing file number 25-50413 (SP), or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
