Surrey, BC – Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers are investigating after reports of shots fired near the Surrey Police Station on King George Boulevard and 107 Avenue Monday afternoon.

Police confirm that a suspect has been taken into custody, and no injuries have been reported. The incident prompted a swift response from SPS officers, who immediately secured the area and ensured public safety.

SPS has advised the public to avoid the area as investigators continue to examine the scene. All pedestrian and vehicle traffic around King George Boulevard and 107 Avenue has been temporarily closed, and motorists are being asked to take alternate routes until further notice.

“The situation is under control and there is no ongoing risk to the public,” SPS said in a brief statement.

Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
