
LANGLEY, B.C. – Langley RCMP are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on the evening of July 7, 2025, near Meadows Edge Park in the Willoughby Way and 200 Street area.
At approximately 5:32 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, frontline RCMP members found evidence consistent with a shooting and confirmed that a 48-year-old man had been injured. The victim was transported to a local hospital for further medical assessment. His current condition has not been released.
“The investigation is still in its early stages, and police are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.
Police have implemented temporary road closures in the area to preserve the scene and allow investigators to work safely. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
Langley RCMP are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who was in the area of Willoughby Way and 200 Street between 5:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., especially those with dash cam footage, is urged to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and reference file number 2025-21567.
