Surrey, B.C. – Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers are investigating a shots fired incident that targeted a business in the Newton neighbourhood early Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. on July 10, when SPS received reports of gunfire at a business located in the 8400 block of 120 Street. Officers quickly responded and confirmed that shots had been fired directly at the business while staff members were still inside.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the building sustained property damage as a result of the gunfire.

SPS officers conducted an initial investigation at the scene, collecting evidence and canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage. The case is now being led by the SPS Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team, which is actively exploring potential motives and any connections to other recent incidents.

At this time, no suspect information has been released.

Surrey Police Service extended its thanks to the Delta Police Department for their assistance in the response.

Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-57153 (SP).
