Surrey, B.C. – Kap’s Cafe, the Surrey restaurant owned by Indian comedy icon Kapil Sharma, has once again been the target of gunfire—just weeks after reopening following a previous shooting incident on July 10.
According to media reports, the cafe’s windows were riddled with at least half a dozen bullet holes following an overnight shooting. Surrey Police Service officers were on the scene early this morning, although no official statement has yet been released by the department.
This latest attack comes shortly after Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke and members of the Surrey Police Service visited the business to express solidarity with the owners and staff.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting. No injuries have been reported.
