Langley, BC – A man has died following a late-night shooting in Langley, prompting an investigation by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
According to police, Langley RCMP officers responded to reports of gunfire near 200 Street and 53 Avenue around 10:28 p.m. on Friday, September 5.
“Frontline officers arrived promptly, located the victim and initiated lifesaving measures. Despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.
The investigation quickly led police to the 20200 block of 53A Avenue, where further inquiries are now underway. IHIT has since taken over the case.
