Abbotsford, BC – September 1, 2025: Abbotsford Police are investigating after gunfire struck a residence in the 32000 block of Balfour Drive early Monday morning.
At approximately 2:09 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found that the home had been hit by bullets while the occupants were asleep inside. Fortunately, no one was physically injured, though police say the family is understandably shaken.
The Abbotsford Police Department’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and is working to determine a motive.
Investigators are appealing to the public for information. Anyone who was in the area of Balfour Drive or driving along Clearbrook Road between Downes Road and Maclure Road between 1:45 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., and who may have witnessed suspicious activity or captured dashcam footage, is asked to contact the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225.
