Amritsar-In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, the Counter Intelligence unit of Amritsar apprehended three individuals near Punjabi Bagh Resort on Attari Road. The operation resulted in the recovery of 5 kilograms of heroin and ₹4.45 lakh in drug money.
Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav reaffirmed the force’s dedication to eradicating drug networks, stating:
“The Punjab Police is committed to dismantling drug networks and making our state drug-free. Strict action will be taken to expose the entire nexus involved in this illegal trade.”
The arrests and seizures are part of Punjab Police’s intensified efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region. Investigations are ongoing to trace the broader network connected to this operation.
