Abbotsford, B.C. – Abbotsford Police are seeking the forfeiture of an orange Dodge Charger after a 17-year-old “N” driver was caught driving dangerously near multiple local schools on September 9, 2025.

Just after 10 a.m., an AbbyPD Youth Squad officer attempted to stop the vehicle after it was seen driving recklessly near Abbotsford Secondary School. The car fled at high speed, later nearly causing a collision at a red light.

A short time later, an AbbyPD Traffic officer spotted the vehicle near Rick Hansen Secondary School. The Charger again fled—this time through a playground zone—narrowly missing the officer’s vehicle. Police later recorded the car travelling at 150 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

No pursuit was initiated due to public safety concerns. The vehicle was later seized as offence-related property.

Police say the driver has been identified and the investigation is ongoing. In a statement, AbbyPD emphasized that dangerous driving will not be tolerated and that all available tools will be used to hold reckless drivers accountable.
