White Rock, B.C. – White Rock RCMP is investigating a targeted shooting that took place early Wednesday morning and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
On August 27, 2025, police received a delayed report of shots fired at a residence in the 15500-block of Pacific Avenue. Officers responding to the scene located evidence consistent with a shooting. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The Lower Mainland District Integrated Forensic Identification Services attended the scene to process evidence.
Investigators determined that the incident occurred between 3:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Police are now canvassing the area for surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses.
According to police, the shooting is believed to be targeted and connected to extortion. White Rock RCMP is working closely with the Lower Mainland District Joint Force Operation (JFO) and the RCMP National Coordination and Support Team to determine links to other ongoing investigations.
Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or has dashcam or security footage from the area during the specified time is asked to contact White Rock RCMP at (778) 545-4800.
