New Westminster, BC – The Pattullo Bridge will experience partial closures for three consecutive nights this week as crews carry out scheduled maintenance work. The closures are set to begin on Monday, June 9, and will continue through to Wednesday, June 11, with traffic restrictions in place from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night.

On Monday night, the northbound lanes into New Westminster will be closed to vehicular traffic. On Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the southbound lanes into Surrey will be closed. The closures are necessary to allow for maintenance equipment and work crews to operate safely, and will affect traffic flow in both directions on different nights.

Despite the partial closures to vehicles, the bridge will remain fully open to pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency vehicles throughout the maintenance period. Traffic control personnel will be on-site each night, and signage will be installed to clearly indicate traffic pattern changes.

Drivers who regularly use the Pattullo Bridge during late-night hours are advised to plan ahead and expect delays of up to 30 minutes. Alternate routes, including the Port Mann Bridge and the Alex Fraser Bridge, are recommended. In addition, some N19 NightBus trips will be rerouted via the Alex Fraser and Queensborough bridges between New Westminster and Scott Road stations.

Commuters and transit users are encouraged to monitor Transit Alerts and use Trip Planner tools to stay informed about route adjustments and delays. The scheduled work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain infrastructure safety and improve travel reliability for all bridge users.
