Surrey- Surrey Police Service (SPS) and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) are investigating an overnight shooting at a residence in Surrey’s Cloverdale neighbourhood.

Police were called to the 18700 block of 54 Avenue at approximately 2:20 a.m. on January 11, 2026, after reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found a home that had sustained damage from the shooting. No injuries were reported.

The RCMP SPOSU General Investigation Unit has taken conduct of the investigation. Authorities say the case remains in its early stages, with investigators continuing to collect evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police noted that the same residence was targeted in a similar shooting on December 31, 2025. Investigators believe the latest incident may be connected to the ongoing series of extortion-related crimes in Surrey.

Anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, or who may know the identities of those involved, is urged to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca. Tips should reference file number 26-1423 (SU).
