Mississauga, ON — Peel Regional Police are appealing for witnesses after a mid‑morning shooting left a Brampton man dead in an industrial area of Mississauga.
Shortly before noon, 51‑year‑old Harjeet Dhadda was gunned down in a parking lot near Tranmere Drive and Telford Way. Investigators say a lone suspect approached Mr. Dhadda and fired multiple rounds before fleeing in a stolen 2018 black Dodge Challenger. The vehicle was recovered a short time later.
Mr. Dhadda was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries. Detectives believe the attack was targeted, though they cautioned the public against online speculation about motive while the investigation is ongoing.
“We are following every lead,” said a spokesperson from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau. “Unverified rumours circulating on social media are unhelpful and can compromise the investigation.”
