WHITE ROCK, B.C. – A man has been arrested following a violent incident in White Rock on Sunday night that left another man with slash wounds.
According to White Rock RCMP, officers received multiple 9-1-1 calls at around 9:50 p.m. on June 29, 2025, reporting a fight involving a knife in the 1100 block of Oxford Street.
Responding quickly to the scene, police spotted a vehicle attempting to flee the area. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and arrested a man matching the suspect description. He was taken into custody and transported to the White Rock RCMP detachment.
“We want to thank the 9-1-1 callers who gave timely information which enabled us to locate and arrest the suspect quickly,” said Constable Chantal Sears, Media Relations Officer for White Rock RCMP. “This incident is isolated; both parties are known to each other.”
The victim was treated at the scene by BC Emergency Health Services for injuries consistent with being slashed. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.
The suspect is expected to appear in court later today.
