New Delhi-In a significant meeting, Vikramjit Singh Sahni, Member of Parliament from Punjab, called upon Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, to discuss critical infrastructure needs for the state.
Sahni proposed a Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) pod service connecting GT Road to Darbar Sahib. This initiative aims to enhance the comfort of pilgrims and alleviate congestion at the Heritage Street, improving the overall visitor experience.
During the meeting entrepreneur urged the speedy approval of key bypass projects, including the Mohali-Barnala, Zirakpur, and Faridkot bypasses, to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across Punjab.
Padam shri Sahni also highlighting the urgent need to combat stubble burning, Sahni advocated for dedicated budget allocations to support biogas initiatives, offering a sustainable solution to this pressing environmental challenge.
The Hon’ble Minister assured his full support for these initiatives and reaffirmed his commitment to addressing Punjab’s infrastructure and environmental needs. The meeting reflects a proactive approach to fostering development and sustainability in the state.
