Ludhiana-Simarjit Singh Bains and Balwinder Bains, two former MLAs of Punjab, have joined the Congress amid the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. They have also committed to strengthening the party in Punjab that will go into polls on June 1. They merged their Lok Insaaf Party with the Congress today. Rahul Gandhi welcomed them into the party in Delhi.
Punjab Pardesh Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring welcomed both the leaders. Warring wrote a post on his ‘X’ account, “Wholeheartedly welcome “Bains Brothers” to the party fold.
