The Election Commission of India announced the Lok Sabha elections will be held in 7 phases. The results will be announced on June 4, 2024. With the chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar’s announcement, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) comes into effect.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar asked all political parties and their leaders to strictly adhere to the MCC. The current government’s term is ending on June 16.
The results for Assembly elections in Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal, and Andhra Pradesh will also be announced on the 4th of June, the same day when the Lok Sabha poll results will be declared.
