Surrey- In a move reflecting its robust financial health, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) has declared a one-time $110 rebate for eligible insurance customers. This decision follows better-than-anticipated investment returns and strategic capital reserve reinforcement efforts, positioning ICBC favorably at the close of the fiscal year.
Most notably, customers with active Basic insurance policies in February 2024 stand to benefit from the 2024 rebate, encompassing both personal and commercial policyholders. However, certain policy types, such as storage policies, Temporary Operation Permits, and those for specific vehicles like golf carts, off-road vehicles, limited speed motorcycles, trailers, and collector vehicles, are excluded from eligibility.
Eligible customers can anticipate the rebate as a token of appreciation for their continued partnership with ICBC. Most customers will receive their rebate via the payment method used to pay for their eligible policy. If you have multiple policies and paid using different payment methods, you could receive your rebates in multiple ways.
ICBC does not issue rebates by text message or email. If you receive a text message or email claiming to contain your ICBC rebate, you can ignore it or mark it as spam.
