Delta, BC – Investigators with BC Highway Patrol are working alongside Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) after a commercial garbage truck struck an overpass on Highway 99 northbound at the 112 Street overpass on the morning of March 10, 2025.
The overpass strike was reported at 7:32 a.m., but the truck involved did not stop at the scene. Authorities are now working to identify the driver and the company responsible for the incident.
“Whenever a driver is involved in a collision with an overpass, no matter how minor, there is an obligation to report the incident,” said Corporal Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol.
Fortunately, the damage to the overpass does not appear to be severe, and there were no reported traffic disruptions.
BC Highway Patrol and CVSE are continuing their investigation and following up with the driver and company involved in the incident.
