Surrey, BC – Fraser Health has announced that, effective immediately, Dr. Victoria Lee is stepping down as president and CEO to pursue new opportunities. The health authority’s board has appointed Dr. Lynn Stevenson as interim president and CEO while the search for a permanent replacement begins.
“We would like to thank Dr. Lee for her leadership over the past six and a half years, and on behalf of everyone at Fraser Health, we wish her well,” said Jim Sinclair, Board Chair of Fraser Health. “We are grateful Dr. Stevenson will be joining the organization, and the Board will be working quickly to recruit a new permanent president and CEO as soon as possible.”
Dr. Lee, who has been with Fraser Health for 15 years, expressed gratitude for her time with the organization.
“As I embark on an exciting new chapter in my career, I’m filled with immense pride and gratitude for the remarkable achievements we’ve accomplished together,” she said. “Our journey has been extraordinary, marked by innovation and unwavering commitment to finding integrative solutions for our patients, families, and communities.”
Dr. Lee also praised the 50,000 Fraser Health staff, medical professionals, and volunteers, saying their dedication continues to inspire her. She expressed confidence in the leadership team and Dr. Stevenson in continuing to enhance health care services across the region.
Fraser Health serves over 1.9 million residents in British Columbia, covering communities from Burnaby to Hope.
