Surrey, B.C. — Four people were injured, including two seriously, during a violent altercation aboard a party bus travelling along Highway 1 in Surrey early Saturday morning. Surrey Police Service (SPS) said the incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. as the bus was heading eastbound and approaching the 192 Street exit.

Police received a 911 call from the bus driver reporting that the vehicle had been stopped on the highway due to a fight involving multiple passengers. At nearly the same time, a passenger also called 911, stating that several people had been stabbed and that the suspect had fled the scene on foot.

When officers arrived, they located four injured individuals. Two victims were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while two others were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

RCMP’s Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit, with assistance from the Langley RCMP and the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service, carried out extensive searches in the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, approximately six feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has short dirty blond hair and was reportedly wearing a white shirt with lemon designs and possibly grey pants.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Surrey Police Service non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and reference file number 25-66269 (SU). 🚨
