
Abbotsford, B.C. – Four individuals have been taken into custody following an illegal border crossing from the United States into Canada.
The incident occurred when three individuals, pursued on foot by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, unlawfully crossed into Canada near Northwoods Road in Lynden, Washington, and 0 Avenue in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
Upon entering Canada, the three individuals and the driver of a nearby waiting vehicle were intercepted and arrested. All four were turned over to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for further investigation and processing under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).
Investigations remain ongoing, and no additional details are being released at this time.
This incident underscores the close collaboration between Canadian and U.S. law enforcement agencies in addressing unlawful cross-border activity.
