Five Arrested, Two Wanted in Liquor Theft Case in Canada

Peel Region, Ontario – Peel Regional Police have charged five individuals in connection with an organized theft ring that targeted multiple Liquor stores across Ontario, stealing liquor worth nearly $238,000.

Between August 2024 and February 2025, the group hit 50 locations using a coordinated strategy. Some members would distract employees while others gained access to restricted areas to steal large volumes of liquor.

Following an extensive investigation by the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau, five suspects were arrested and charged with Theft Over $5000. Three of them face additional charges:
Anuj Kumar, 25, no fixed address,Simarpeet Singh, 29, no fixed address,Sharndeep Singh, 25, no fixed address are facing  Breach of Release Order.

Facing Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence and  Prabhpreet Singh, 29, Caledon is facing Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence.

All five were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Police have also issued arrest warrants for two additional suspects, both of no fixed address:
1.  Jagshir Singh, 28 (Theft Over $5000, Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence)
2. Punit Sehjra, 25 (Theft Over $5000, Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence)

Authorities warn that more charges may be laid as the investigation continues.

“The work of our Criminal Investigation Bureau has been nothing short of exceptional in dismantling this prolific organized crime group,” said Deputy Chief Marc Andrews. “We remain committed to pursuing criminals who threaten the safety of our neighborhoods and ensuring they face justice.”

Peel Police urge anyone with information to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
