Surrey, B.C. – The Surrey Police Operations Support Unit’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (SPOSU CCIT) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred this morning in the 15700 block of 92 Avenue.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 10:30 a.m., after the BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) received reports of a serious crash. Surrey Fire Service firefighters and BCEHS paramedics responded quickly, but despite life-saving efforts, a 93-year-old woman—who was driving one of the vehicles—involved was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this early stage, the cause of the collision remains undetermined. The SPOSU CCIT is leading the investigation.

The intersection at 158 Street and 92 Avenue is currently closed to both motorists and pedestrians as police continue to process the scene. Drivers are being urged to use alternative routes and to expect delays in the area.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502, quoting file number 2025-34281 (SU).
