Surrey, B.C. – Renowned pediatrician, neonatologist, and community leader Dr. Pargat Singh Bhurji has been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal, recognizing his outstanding contributions to Canada and beyond. The prestigious honour was presented by The Honourable Wendy Cocchia, CM, OBC, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.

Dr. Bhurji, who resides in Surrey, B.C., is widely known for his medical expertise in pediatrics and neonatology as well as his spiritual and motivational talks on Sikhism. A frequent guest on radio and television programs, his profound insights on health, spirituality, and community well-being have earned him immense respect. Beyond Canada, he has also been part of volunteer medical missions, providing critical aid in Sri Lanka following the tsunami, in Haiti after the earthquake, and in Nepal in the aftermath of its devastating quake.
