
Abbotsford, BC – A 32-year-old woman was left with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on South Parallel Road, just east of Whatcom Road, late Sunday night.
The Abbotsford Police Department said the collision occurred around 9:58 p.m. on September 28th. Emergency crews found the woman suffering severe injuries at the scene, and she was airlifted to a hospital in the Vancouver area for urgent treatment.
Police confirmed that the driver of the grey Chevy Avalanche involved in the collision, along with a passenger, remained at the scene and are cooperating with investigators. Impairment is not believed to be a factor, though poor lighting conditions in the area are being considered.
The investigation is ongoing and is being supported by the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).
