Vancouver- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for various carrot products due to potential E. coli contamination. The recall affects carrot juice and fresh carrots with best-before dates ranging from August 14 to November 2.

The impacted brands include Compliments Organic, PC Organics, Cal-Organic, and Bunny-Luv.

The CFIA’s action follows a similar recall initiated by Grimmway Farms, a U.S.-based company responsible for producing the affected products. Information from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration confirms that all recalled items sold in Canada originate from Grimmway Farms.

Consumers are advised to discard these products or return them to the point of purchase. The CFIA warns that E. coli contamination can lead to serious illness, particularly in vulnerable populations.

For more information, visit the CFIA website.
