Ottawa- “Starting June 27th Canadians with Disabilities and children under the age of 18 can apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.” Speaking with reporters on Parliament Hill, federal Health Minister Mark Holland provides an update.
Federal govt. plan has already connected over 150,000 seniors with dental care. it will ensure that people with disabilities don’t have to choose between paying their bills and looking after their teeth.
”Over 150,000 seniors have already received the dental care through our plan.It’s changing lives in our communities from cost to cost to cost.” says Minister of Diversity, inclusion and Persons with Disabilities, Kamal Khera.
“I am so grateful that the next cohort are with the Persons of Disabilities. We know affordability is a big issue, the Dental Care is a game changer for so many of our communities. It’s not about just getting your teeth cleaned, it’s about dignity and respect.” minister concludes.
