Surrey Gears Up for Western Canada’s Largest Canada Day Celebration

Surrey, B.C. – The City of Surrey is set to host Surrey Canada Day — Western Canada’s largest July 1 celebration — on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale. This free, family-friendly event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., offering a vibrant mix of music, culture, food, and fireworks.

This year’s celebration promises something for everyone with four stages of live entertainment, over 30 food trucks, a beer garden, amusement rides, exhibitors, and a spectacular fireworks finale to cap off the night.

Headlining the musical lineup is The Reklaws, the award-winning Canadian country sibling duo and eight-time JUNO Award nominees. They will be joined by Goldie Boutilier and Garret T. Willie, bringing energy and diversity to the main stage.

Event Schedule Highlights:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Gates open
  • 11:00 a.m. – Indigenous Welcome by Semiahmoo First Nation (Siam Stage)
  • 1:30 p.m. – Opening Ceremony with Mayor & Council (Main Stage)
  • 6:10 p.m. – Joel West (Siam Stage)
  • 6:40 p.m. – Garret T. Willie (Main Stage)
  • 7:00 p.m. – Higher Ground Dance Battle Finale (Community Stage)
  • 7:30 p.m. – Indigenous Cultural Sharing by Semiahmoo and Kwantlen First Nations (Main Stage)
  • 7:45 p.m. – Goldie Boutilier (Main Stage)
  • 9:00 p.m. – The Reklaws (Main Stage)
  • 10:15 p.m. – Fireworks spectacular.

“Surrey Canada Day is a celebration of community, culture, and country,” said Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke. “We are proud to bring people together for this free, inclusive event that highlights our diversity and unity.”

  • Location: Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre, 17728 64 Ave, Surrey
  • Admission: Free for all ages.

Attendees are encouraged to take transit, walk, or cycle to the venue, as large crowds are expected.
