Burnaby, BC – March 22, 2025: A four-month investigation by Burnaby RCMP’s Drugs and Organized Crime Section (DOCS) into a dial-a-dope drug trafficking organization has led to a major drug bust at a waterfront residence in West Vancouver.
Executing a search warrant on March 22, officers seized multiple kilograms of suspected fentanyl and cocaine, over $40,000 in cash, two high-end vehicles, two Ducati motorcycles, and two Sea-Doos. A man and a woman were arrested at the residence.
Of significant concern to investigators was the presence of two children also living at the residence.
“Having children living in a residence with these types and amounts of drugs inevitably puts them in danger from these drugs as well as other elements that come from being in a criminal lifestyle,” said Sgt. Randy Mortensen of Burnaby RCMP’s DOCS.
Sgt. Mortensen emphasized the broader impact of such criminal activities. “People involved in the distribution of these drugs are contributing to the staggering number of deaths over the past decade in this province,” he said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
