‘Operation Sindoor’ Targeting Terrorist Camps Across Border
New Delhi, May 7, 2025 – In a significant military development, the Indian Armed Forces launched a precision operation early this morning targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, code-named ‘Operation Sindoor’, was aimed at neutralizing sites from where recent terrorist attacks on Indian soil were allegedly planned and executed.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Defence, Indian forces hit nine terrorist camps in a focused and non-escalatory mission. Officials emphasized that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted, highlighting India’s strategic restraint and commitment to minimize broader conflict escalation.
The operation follows the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 people—including 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen—were killed. The brutal assault prompted national outrage and a call for accountability.
“Our actions have been measured, focused, and driven by the sole objective of eliminating terror infrastructure. This is a direct response to the recent loss of innocent lives,” stated the release from the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in Delhi.
The Ministry also confirmed that a detailed briefing on Operation Sindoor will be held later today, offering further insight into the targets, execution, and outcomes of the mission.
