Three Ustaad G76 Locations Targeted by Gunfire Across Lower Mainland

SURREY – A popular Lower Mainland restaurant chain has once again come under attack, as three separate Ustaad G76 locations were targeted by gunfire in recent days.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating the latest incident that took place outside a Surrey Ustaad G76 location in the early morning hours of October 6, 2025. Officers were called later that afternoon after staff at the 7600-block Anvil Way business noticed what appeared to be bullet damage on the exterior of the building.

SPS Frontline officers attended the scene and confirmed the damage was caused by gunfire. The SPS Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team has since taken over the investigation. Early findings suggest the shots were fired between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.

This marks the second shooting targeting the restaurant chain in one day, as another Ustaad G76 location in South Surrey was previously struck earlier on Monday.

The most recent incident follows a September 27 shooting at another Ustaad G76 restaurant in Maple Ridge, where Ridge Meadows RCMP responded around 3 a.m. to reports of shots fired at the Lougheed Highway location near 218 Street. That business was closed at the time, and no one was injured.

Investigators believe the shootings may be linked to ongoing extortion-related activity impacting several Lower Mainland businesses. Police across jurisdictions are working together to determine possible connections.

Anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage is urged to contact the Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502, quoting file number 25-87757 (SP), or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.
