Abbotsford, BC – October 27, 2025: Abbotsford Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Monday morning in the 33200 block of George Ferguson Way.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, police quickly identified a residence linked to the incident and established containment.

A 41-year-old man was found at the scene suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

One man, believed to be the suspect, was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody. Investigators believe the incident was targeted and confirm it is not connected to the ongoing extortion-related investigations or the recent homicide on Ridgeview Drive.

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone who was in the area of George Ferguson Way between Fuller Street and Ware Street between 11:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., and who may have witnessed suspicious activity or captured dashcam footage, is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
