Abbotsford Police Investigating Homicide on McCrimmon Drive

Abbotsford, B.C. — December 14, 2025

– Abbotsford Police are investigating a homicide following a fatal stabbing reported Sunday morning in a residential area of the city.

At approximately 11:03 a.m., Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to a call reporting a stabbing in the 33900 block of McCrimmon Drive. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and confirmed the incident was contained within a residence.

Inside the home, police located a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the victim later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. One man was arrested at the scene.

The investigation remains in its early stages, with additional police resources deployed to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The Abbotsford Police Department’s Major Crime Unit is transitioning the case to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), which will assume conduct of the investigation and provide further updates as they become available.
